GENESEE COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Rochester man charged with assaulting a police officer

On December 8, 2020, Genesee County Sheriff’s Deputies apprehended Andre L. Roberts, 28, of Burrows St., Rochester, following an investigation into an incident that occurred on October 21, 2020.

Roberts allegedly resisted arrest while being taken into custody, which resulted in a deputy being injured.

Roberts is charged with assault on a police officer and resisting arrest.

He was arraigned in Genesee County Court and remanded to the Genesee County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond bail.

Roberts is scheduled to re-appear in court on January 8, 2021 at 11:00a.m.

The case is being investigated by Deputy Erik Andre, with assistance from Deputy Jonathan Dimmig, Deputy Jeremy McClellan and Deputy Kenneth Quackenbush.
