A Genesee County Grand Jury has indicted Andre L. Roberts, 28, of Rochester, accusing him of assault on a police officer, a class C felony, after causing serious physical injury to a Genesee County Sheriff’s deputy while Roberts was being taken into custody during an incident in the Town of Alexander on October 21, 2020.
In Count 2 of the indictment, Roberts is accused of resisting arrest, a class A misdemeanor, during the same incident, intentionally preventing or attempting to prevent the deputy from arresting him.
