Eight fire companies from two counties responded to a house fire late Saturday night in the Town of Bennington.
Cowlesville, Bennington, Harris Corners, Sheldon, Alden, Marilla, Wales Center and Crittenden fire companies responded to 217 Dersam road about 11:30p.m. to a fully involved house fire.
The home is a total loss and a family of four is being assisted by the Red Cross.
The home is owned by Julia Blendonohy and the tenants who are displaced are Chris and Nichol Haas.
No one was injured in the blaze, the cause of the fire is under investigation.
Fire crews were on scene about four hours. Also assisting on scene, Wyoming County Emergency Management, Town of Bennington Highway, and NYSEG.
