6 fire companies responded to a house fire at 11 Chapel street in the Village of Castile late Thursday afternoon.
The home is owned by Crist Harmon and suffered $50,000 in damages in the blaze. There was no one home at the time of the fire and no one was injured.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Fire companies from Castile, Bliss, Gainesville, Perry, Pike and Silver Springs were on scene for 3.5 hours. Also assisting on scene was Wyoming County Emergency Management, Village of Castile DPW, and National Fuel.
