Several cats perished in barn fire at 6427 North Woods road in the Town of Arcade late Thursday morning.
12 fire companies rushed to the scene about 11:34a.m., but the barn was fully involved upon arrival. The barn was a total loss. Nearby structures were saved from any damage.
No one was injured and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
Fire crews from Arcade, Strykersville, Sheldon, Varysburg, Attica, Gainesville, Yorkshire, Chaffe-Sardinia, Holland, Wales Center and Bliss responded to the scene and were on location for 5.5 hours.
Also assisting on scene, Wyoming County Emergency Management, Town of Arcade Highway and Arcade Electric.
