WYOMING COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Warsaw man charged after target shooting too closely to neighboring residence while neighbors were outdoors

Allan B. Uptegrove, 50, of Warsaw, was arrested following a complaint on Christ Road in the Town of Warsaw on June 20, 2021.

Uptegrove was allegedly target shooting with his rifle while in his yard in an unsafe direction. The rounds were discharged towards a neighboring residence while the neighbors were outside, nearly striking them. Following an investigation, Uptegrove was arrested on the above date and charged with reckless endangerment in the first degree

Uptegrove was transported to the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office for processing then transported to Warsaw Court for arraignment. An order of protection was issued on behalf of the victims, and Uptegrove was released on his own recognizance, pending a further court appearance in Wyoming County Court June 28 2021.

Felipe A. Diaz, 41, of Bronx, NY, was arrested June 23, 2021 on Route 63 in the Town of Covington, following a traffic stop.

Diaz was stopped for speeding while operating a tractor trailer. He was found to have an inaccurate DOT required log book, a misdemeanor offense.

Diaz was released with a uniform appearance ticket and is to appear to Covington Town Court on July 12, 2021 at 7:00p.m.
