ARRESTS:

Burglary 2nd Degree; Petit Larceny, 8:22 AM, Monday, June 28, 2021, Montclair Ave. – Brandon DODD, M/34, was arrested following an investigation into a residential burglary on Swan St. DODD is accused of entering another person’s apartment the morning of June 28th, 2021 and stealing property including an air conditioner and television. This burglary occurred about four hours after DODD had been arrested for stealing an air conditioner from another property on Jackson St. DODD was remanded to Genesee County Jail and is being held on $5,000 A, $5,000 B, and $10,000 E.

Petit Larceny, 6:39 PM, Tuesday, June 29, 2021, E Main St. –  It is alleged that on 6/29/2021 at approximately 6:39PM, the defendant, Brandon DODD, M/34, entered a local business and stole approximately $300.00 worth of cigarettes. DODD was issued an appearance ticket while he is incarcerated at the Genesee County Jail on unrelated charges. DODD is scheduled to appear in Batavia City Court on 7/27/2021 at 1:00p.m. on this charge. Investigation was handled by Officer DeFelice.

Petit Larceny; Criminal Possession of a controlled substance 7th Degree, 4:22 AM, Monday, June 28, 2021, Ganson Ave. – On 6/28/2021, at 4:41 AM Brandon DODD, M/34, was arrested after an investigation after DODD was alleged to have taken an air conditioning unit out of a window on Jackson Street in the City of Batavia. While DODD was being searched a City of Batavia Police Officer located a crack pipe on DODD’s person.

Harassment 2nd Degree, 1:55 PM, Tuesday, July 6, 2021, N. Lyon St – On 7/6/2021, Rae COOK, F/32, was arrested on the above charge following an incident that happened on N Lyon St. COOK was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Batavia City Court on 7/27/2021 at 1:00p.m. for arraignment.

Criminal Contempt 2nd Degree, 5:04 PM, Saturday, July 3, 2021, Ellicott St. – Andrew MARTIN, M/43, responded to Batavia Police Department Headquarters and was issued an appearance ticket following the violation of an order of protection. MARTIN is scheduled to appear in Batavia City Court on 7/21/2021 at 1:00p.m.

Criminal Contempt 2nd Degree, 9:55 PM, Tuesday, June 9, 2021, N. Lyon St. – On 7/6/2021, Tierance DAVIS Sr. M/34 was arrested on a Batavia City Court Arrest Warrant stemming from an incident where he allegedly was located at a residence of a protected party of an order of protection. DAVIS Sr. was arraigned in Batavia City Court, released under supervision of Genesee Justice and is scheduled to appear in Batavia City Court on 8/12/2021.

Trespass, 10:20 AM, Friday, July 2, 2021, Park Rd. – Ernest J. PARRY, M/40, was arrested on 7/2/2021 for the above listed charge. PARRY is alleged to have remained upon the premises of a local business after being told to leave by security staff several times during an outdoor concert. PARRY was issued an appearance ticket returnable to Batavia City Court on 7/13/2021, and released.

Assault 2nd Degree; Assault 3rd Degree; Strangulation 2nd Degree; Criminal Obstruction of breathing; Unlawful imprisonment 1st Degree, 1:30 AM, Saturday, June 10, 2021, Hutchins Pl. – On 7/2/21, Michael JACKSON, M/40, was arrested on the above listed charges. The arrest follows a domestic incident that occurred at a residence in the City of Batavia. JACKSON was located by the Greece PD with two warrants from Batavia City Court. JACKSON was arraigned in Batavia City Court by Judge ROGERS. JACKSON is being held at the Genesee County Jail, he is scheduled to return to court on 7/29/2021.

Aggravated Family Offense, 9:48 PM, Sunday, February, 28, 2021, W. Main St. – Robert GERETY, M/48, was arrested on the above date and time for an Aggravated Family Offense. GERETY responded to Batavia Police Department Headquarters on his own accord. GERETY is alleged to have violated a stay away order of protection on 2/28/2021 while involved in a traffic stop on W. Main St. GERETY was arraigned in Batavia City Court by Judge ZAMBITO on 7/2/2021 at 11:00AM. GERETY was released on recognizance.

Criminal Contempt 2nd , 10:00 AM, Sunday, June 27, 2021, E. Main St. – On 6/29/2021, Samantha LAWRENCE, F/31, was arrested after an investigation where it was alleged that she violated an order of protection by showing up to the protected parties work and having contact with the protected party. LAWRENCE was issued an appearance ticket to appear in Batavia City Court.

Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree; Criminal Possession of a Hypodermic Needle, 12:07 PM, Monday, May 10, 2021, Raymond Ave. – Chrisotpher J. WIEGMAN, M/32, was arrested on 7/3/21 at 10:12AM in Bergen stemming from an incident on 5/10/2021 on Raymond Ave. following the results of a drug report from the Monroe County Crime Laboratory. It is alleged that WIEGMAN possessed nine hypodermic needles and cocaine residue after a Genesee County Probation home search. WIEGMAN is due back in Batavia City Court on 7/20/2021 at 1:00p.m.

Petit Larceny, 4:22 AM, Monday June 28, 2021, Jackson St. – Crystal MARSCEILL, F/40, was arrested on the above charges following an incident outside a Batavia residence. MARSCEILL was located shortly after, and arrested. MARSCEILL was then issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Batavia City Court on 7/13/2021.

Unlawful Possession of Fireworks, 8:30 PM, Tuesday, June 29, 2021, Willow St. – On 7/3/2021 at 8:00 PM, Jose CASTRO, M/36 was arrested after an investigation where CASTRO was alleged to have set off fireworks in the City of Batavia. CASTRO was issued an appearance ticket to appear in Batavia City Court at a later date.

Driving While Intoxicated; Driving While Intoxicated with BAC <.08%, 5:02 AM, Saturday, July 3, 2021, E Main St. – On July 3rd, 2021 at about 5:23 AM, the Batavia Police Department received a report of a physical altercation in a parking lot on E. Main St. During the investigation it was revealed that Gregory SOLOMONIDIS was involved in the altercation, and was intoxicated. SOLOMONIDIS was subsequently arrested for the aforementioned charges, issued uniform traffic tickets and released.

Obstruction of Governmental Administration, 9:26 PM, Friday, June 28, 2019, Osterhout Ave. – Matthew ZAKRZEWSKI was arrested on the above date and time on a City of Batavia Arrest Warrant for Obstruction of Governmental Administration. The Original charge is based on an incident in 2019 where ZAKRZEWSKI allegedly fled from officers in an attempt to avoid arrest. ZAKRZEWSKI is scheduled to appear in Batavia City Court on 7/6/2021 at 9:30a.m.
