The Red Cross has an emergency need for lifesaving blood during an ongoing severe blood shortage to meet the current hospital demands and end a severe blood shortage.
On Friday, United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia, hosted a blood drive with the Red Cross to do their part to stock the shelves.
UMMC’s Lead Blood Bank Technologist, Jackie DeGolia, was the first in line to donate blood.
