Brook K. Tubbins, 40, of Ellicott St., Batavia, is charged with grand larceny 3rd degree and three counts of filing a false instrument 1st, after allegedly failing to report income on two applications for SNAP benefits.
As a result, she received $6,215 in SNAP benefits she was not entitled to from May 2020 through March 2021.
The investigation is being handled by the Genesee County Department of Social Services Investigator Robert Riggi.
Tubbins was arraigned in the Town of Batavia Court and released on recognizance.
Teresa M. Stephenson, 31, of Cedar St., Batavia, is charged with DWI and driving with a BAC of .08% or more, after allegedly operating her vehicle in an intoxicated condition following an investigation into a trespass complaint at 11001 Bethany Center road, Rolling Hills Asylum in Bethany, on August 8, 2021 at 2:54am.
Stephenson was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Bethany Court on August 25, 2021 at 5:00p.m.
