BATAVIA/Police looking for assistance in identifying a pickup truck involved in an accident with a bicycle

On Sept. 27th, 2021 around 6:00 AM, a male bicyclist in his early twenties was struck by a pickup truck at the intersection of Ellicott Street and Jackson Street in the area of Kwik Fill. 

According to the bicyclist, the operator of the truck stopped to check on him and provided the bicyclist with a courtesy ride to his place of employment.  The involved parties did not exchange information and the accident was not reported to police until the next day when the bicyclist sought medical attention for a possible injury.  

The involved vehicle is described as a gray/silver Ford F-150 operated by a “younger male”.

The Batavia Police Department is attempting to identify the driver of the truck for the purpose of completing an accident information exchange.  It should be noted that the driver is not accused of being at fault and is not facing citation.
