WYOMING COUNTY/Perry man charged with first degree rape

On October 21st, 2021, at around 8:00pm, Nicholas C. Hoffman,35, of Perry, NY, was arrested by members of the Perry Police Department and charged with Rape in the 1st degree – Intercourse Victim Physically Helpless, following an investigation of an incident that occurred at a residence in the Village of Perry on October 10th, 2021.

Hoffman was arraigned in the Town of Warsaw Court in front of the Honorable Judge Errington and the Wyoming County Public Defender’s Office was present to represent Hoffman during the arraignment.

The Wyoming County District Attorney’s Office was contacted for a bail recommendation, as Rape in the 1st degree is a violent felony and a qualifying offense, and $200,000 cash bail / $400,000 bond / $600,000 partially secured bond was recommended.

Following arraignment, Hoffman was committed to the Wyoming County Jail in lieu of $100,000 cash bail / $200,000 bond / $300,000 partially secured bond. Hoffman is scheduled to appear in the Perry Village Court at a later date.
