The Batavia Blue Devils(8-1) outscored Newark/Marion(2-5), 35-0 in the quarterfinal round of sectional play at Van Detta Stadium on a very rainy Friday night. Jesse Reinhart connected with Jagger Owens to kick off the scoring in the first quarter, followed by a Cameron McClinic run and an endzone pass to to Cole Grazioplene. The Blue Devils held a 28-0 lead at the half. Batavia will meet Wayne next week in the semi-final game at Van Detta Stadium.
OAE Aggie win big in their quarterfinal matchup against Clyde Savanah in a muddy Friday night matchup. The Aggies scored 68 points, Clyde did not get on the board until under 30 seconds left in the game. The final score was 68-8. Next week OAE will play Caledonia/Mumford/Byron Bergen in Oakfield in the semi final class D matchup.
