GENESEE COUNTY/116 count indictment filed against man accused of rape and sodomy

A Genesee County Grand Jury has filed a 116 count indictment against Roger K. Brinkman, 57, of Batavia, who was arrested on October 5, 2021.

The indictment contains 52 counts of rape, first degree, a class B violent felony. The incidents occurred in the City of Batavia from December 31, 2020 through January 7, 2021.

The next 52 counts are for sodomy, first degree, a class B violent felony. The incidents occurred in the City of Batavia from July 2, 2020- June 24, 2021.

Counts 105-110 are for sodomy, first degree, a class B violent felony. The incidents occurred in the City of Batavia from July-December of 2000.

Counts 111-116 are for sodomy, first degree, a class B violent felony. The incidents occurred in the City of Batavia from January 2021-June of 2021.

The maximum sentence for a conviction of rape in the first degree is 25 years in prison.

He is currently being held at the Genesee County Jail.
