Ricky Albanese, 54, of Hunt, NY, was arrested on a warrant out of Batavia City Court for grand larceny 3rd/value exceeding $3,000, on November 12, 2021.
Albanese was collecting biweekly indemnity payments on behalf of Genesee County Mental Health and was allegedly working as a salesman selling Amish furniture while collecting disability payments. During this time period, Albanese allegedly collected $38,684.18 from Genesee County.
He was arraigned in Batavia City Court and released on recognizance and will re-appear in City Court on December 2, 2021 at 3:30p.m.

Thomas J. Leonard, 38, of Batavia, is charged with burglary 3rd degree and petit larceny after allegedly stealing merchandise from Walmart on Veteran’s Memorial Drive in the Town of Batavia on November 29, 2021.
Leonard was previously charged with trespass at the store. He was arraigned in front of Judge Young in the Town of Batavia Court and will re-appear in court on December 21, 2021 at 2:00p.m..
