A Genesee County Grand Jury has filed a four-count indictment, accusing Wesley N. Thigpen, 40, of Batavia, of predatory sexual assault against a child, a class A II felony.
Thigpen is accused of criminal sexual act 1st degree, and course sexual conduct against a child from June 1, 2014- August 31, 2014 and also from May 1, 2015-July 31, 2015 with a child less than 13 years old in the City of Batavia.
If convicted, Thigpen could face life in prison. He is currently an inmate at Greene Correctional Facility in Coxsackie, NY, sentenced to 3.5-4 years in October of 2019, after being convicted of sexual abuse 1st, a class D felony and criminal contempt 1st, a class E felony in Genesee County.
