Arrests

Criminal Contempt 1st; Burglary 2nd; Strangulation 2nd; Unlawful Imprisonment 2nd; Robbery 3rd, 5:08 AM, Thursday, December 16, 2021, E. Main St. – On 1/28/2022, Antwoine KUSH, M/19 of Lockport, NY, was arrested on an arrest warrant, out of Batavia City Court for the above charges. KUSH was located in Savannah, Georgia and extradited back to Batavia. He was arraigned in Batavia City Court, by Judge Burns, and remanded to the Genesee County Jail on $25,000 cash bail, $50,000 bond and $75,000 partially secured bond. He is due back in court on 2/27/2022.  

Bench Warrant, 12:00 AM, Monday, December 20, 2021, W. Main St. – On 1/28/2022, Antwoine KUSH, M/19 of Lockport, NY, was arrested on a bench warrant, out of Batavia City Court. The warrant was issued after KUSH allegedly failed to appear in court, after a prior arrest. He was arraigned by Judge Burns and remanded to the Genesee County Jail on bail. He is due back in court on 2/17/2022.  

Assault 3rd Degree, 12:25 PM, Tuesday, January 25, 2022, Miller Ave. – On 1/25/2022, Antwan L. ODOM, M/21 of Batavia, NY was arrested on a charge of Assault 3rd Degree. ODOM, allegedly, struck a neighbor in the face with a fist causing physical injury. ODOM was arraigned before Judge Rogers in Batavia City Court and was released on recognizance. ODOM is due back in Batavia City Court on 2/16/2022.

Obstruction of Governmental Administration; Resisting Arrest; Suspended Registration, 8:29 PM, Tuesday, February 1, 2022, E. Main St. – On 2/1/20221, Chantalle J. BESSIL, F/27 of Batavia, NY, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration, resisting arrest, and obstruction of governmental administration after a traffic stop on E. Main Street. BESSIL was issued appearance tickets and released. BESSIL is scheduled to appear in Batavia City Court on 3/15/2022 at 1:00 PM.  

Endangering the welfare of a child, 3:19 PM, Wednesday, March 17, 2021, Vine St. – On 1/31/2022, Carlene V. SANTIAGO, f/32 of Batavia, NY, was arrested on an active warrant out of Batavia City Court on two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. SANTIAGO was arraigned in front of Judge ROGERS of Batavia City Court. Judge ROGERS released SANTIAGO on her own recognizance with a return court date of 2/23/2022 at 3:00 PM.  

Petit Larceny; Conspiracy 6th Degree, 1:46 PM, Saturday, January 29, 2022, Ellicott St. – On 1/29/2022, Andrew J. DRAPER of Batavia, NY, and Crystal A. MOUNTS of Batavia, NY, were both arrested after an investigation into a larceny at a local business. It is alleged that DRAPER and MOUNTS attempted to leave the store without paying for over $700.00 worth of products. Both were issued appearance tickets to appear in City Court at a later date.  

Pettit Larceny, 11:36 AM, Thursday, February 3, 2022, Ellicott St. – On 2/3/2022, John A. CABRERA Sr. M/54, of Batavia, NY, was arrested after an investigation into a larceny from a local business. It is alleged that when City Police arrived on scene, CABRERA was found to have two frozen pizzas and three unopened cans of beer stuffed into his jacket. CABRERA was arrested and issued an appearance ticket to appear in City Court on a later date.     

Petit Larceny, 9:32 AM, Wednesday, January 26, 2022, E. Main St. – ON 1/26/2022, Shawn M. TWARDOWSKI, M/39, of Batavia, NY, was arrested on the above charge. It’s alleged that TWARDOWSKI stole beer from a local business. He was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Batavia City Court on 2/8/2022.  

Failure to appear in Court, 1:00 PM, Tuesday, January 18, 2022, W. Main St. – Talana J. SAVERY, F/22 of Fulton, NY, turned herself into the Batavia Police Department on the above listed arrest warrant. SAVERY was arraigned in Batavia City Court in front of Judge Rogers and released on recognizance with a return court date of 4/5/2022 at 2:00 PM.  

Failure to appear on Appearance Ticket, 12:23 AM, Saturday, January 30, 2021, Ellicott St. – On 1/31/2022, Officer Post arrested Gregory REESE, M/52 of Batavia, NY, on an active arrest warrant out of Batavia City Court for aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. REESE was arraigned in front of Judge Rogers of Batavia City Court who released REESE on his own recognizance with a return court date of 2/23/2022 at 3:00 PM.
