PERRY POLICE REPORT/February 28, 2022

PERRY, NY- Chief Michael J. Grover reports the arrest of a Perry resident on several charges following an
investigation by the Perry Police Department.
On February 26th, 2022, at approximately 9:10 p.m., Officer Spencer Kramell conducted a traffic stop on North Center Street for multiple vehicle and traffic law violations. Upon interacting with the suspect, 27-year-old Blake W. Stowell, of Perry, NY, Officer Kramell suspected Stowell to be intoxicated.

Officer Kramell requested Stowell submit to Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, which he complied. Stowell did not perform the tests as instructed and was subsequently arrested for DWI,

Stowell was processed at Perry Police Department where he did voluntarily submit to a chemical breath test to determine his blood alcohol content (BAC). The test revealed that Stowell had a BAC of .17%. After processing. Stowell was released to a sober third part per NYS bail reform laws and is to appear in Perry Village Court on April 12, 2022 on the charges below.
Also assisting with the investigation was Officer Dakota Spink of the Perry Police Department.
CHARGES:
Vehicle and Traffic Law- 1172-Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign
Vehicle and Traffic Law- 1120(a)-Failed to Keep Right
Vehicle and Traffic Law- 1192-3 DWI-Common Law
Vehicle and Traffic Law-1192-2 DWI BAC .08% of 1% or higher
