PERRY POLICE REPORT/March 14, 2022

PERRY, NY- Chief Michael J. Grover reports the arrest of a Perry resident on several charges following a DWI investigation by the Perry Police Department.

On March 13, 2022, at approximately 01:02 a.m., Officer Spencer Kramell conducted a traffic stop on Elm Street in Perry for multiple vehicle and traffic law violations. Upon interacting with the suspect, 48-year-old Jerimie M. Johnson, Officer Kramell suspected Johnson to be intoxicated.

Officer Kramell requested Johnson submit to standardized field sobriety tests, which he complied. Johnson did not perform the tests as instructed and was subsequently arrested for DWI.

Johnson was processed at the Perry Police Department where Johnson voluntarily submitted to a chemical breath test to determine his blood alcohol content (BAC). The chemical test revealed that Johnson had a BAC of .19%.

Per NYS bail reform laws, Johnson was released to a sober third party and is to appear in Perry Village Court on April 12, 2022, on the below charges.
