Cain P. Cox, 32, of Mt. Morris, NY, was arrested following a traffic stop on Warsaw boulevard in the Village of Silver Springs on March 17, 2022.
Cox was the passenger in a vehicle that was stopped for speeding, 65MPH in a 30MPH speed zone, on South Cummings avenue at Duncan avenue in the Village of Silver Springs.
During the traffic stop, Cox was allegedly found to be in possession of buprenorphine, an opiate controlled substance. Cox was arrested and issued an appearance ticket.
Cox is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th degree. The driver was also cited for the speeding infraction. Cox is scheduled to appear in the Village of Silver Springs Court on March 28, 2022, to answer the charge
