On March 25, 2022, William Spalding, 21, of Pike, NY, was arrested following an investigation by the Wyoming County Sheriff Office.
Spalding is charged with predatory sexual assault against a child, a class A-II felony.
Spalding is accused of committing a course of sexual conduct against a child who was less than 13 years old at the time of the offenses. This conduct occurred over the period of several months in 2021 and included at least one act of sexual intercourse against the victim.
Spalding was arraigned in the Town of Pike Court and was committed to Wyoming County Jail in lieu of no bail. He is to return to court at a later date.
Wyoming County Department of Social Services assisted with the investigation.
