GENESEE COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Batavia man jailed without bail after domestic incident

Tyrone N. Thigpen Sr., 44, of Batavia, is charged with aggravated family offense, a class E felony, menacing 2nd degree, criminal possession of a weapon 4th and two counts endangering the welfare of a child, after an investigation into a domestic incident that occurred in the town of Batavia on April 3, 2022, at 3:15p.m.

Thigpen was allegedly in unlawful possession of a rifle and displayed it while in the presence of the victim and two children during a verbal altercation.

Thigpen was arraigned in Batavia Town Court and is currently being held without bail.

Mohammad I. Nasir, 48, of Amherst, NY, is charged with willfully possessing 30,000 or more of untaxed cigarettes for the purpose of sales and failure to signal while changing lanes after a traffic stop on Alleghany road in Pembroke on March 31, 2022.

Nasir was arraigned in Pembroke Town Court and released.

Nasir will reappear in court at a later date and time.
