GENESEE COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Oakfield man charged after leaving the scene of an accident

Daniel J. Arnold, 58, of Oakfield, is charged with DWI, leaving the scene of a property damage accident and moving from a lane unsafely, after a one vehicle accident at 7797 Rt. 63 on April 11, 2022 at 9:06p.m.

According to a Sheriff’s Department accident report, Arnold was traveling in a northeast direction on Rt. 63 when his 2019 Chevy pickup exited the east shoulder of the roadway and struck a National Grid utility pole. The pickup then re-entered the roadway and continued in a northwesterly direction on Rt. 63.

Arnold was located a short time later in the Village of Oakfield where he was arrested.

No injuries were reported in the accident.

Gary P. Castronova Jr., 36, of Webster, is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th, operating a motor vehicle by an unlicensed driver, aggravated unlicensed operation 3rd degree and insufficient turn signal/less than 100 feet, after a traffic stop at 505 East Main street in Batavia on April 8, 2022 at 8:05p.m.

Castronova Jr. was allegedly found to be in possession of cocaine.

He was issued an appearance ticket to appear in City Court and issued traffic tickets. Castronova Jr. will appear in City Court on April 20, 2022, at 9:00a.m.

A front seat passenger in the vehicle, Heather N. Holbrook, 36, of Batavia, is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th degree and was arrested on an outstanding arrest warrant during the traffic stop.

Holbrook was allegedly in possession of a cocaine.

She was arraigned in Batavia Town Court on the warrant and issued an appearance ticket for the drug charge and a traffic ticket for no seatbelt.
