GENESEE COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Rochester man allegedly found with drugs during traffic stop in City of Batavia

Garlyn M. Gause, 42, of Rochester, NY, is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance 3rd degree with intent to sell, a class B felony, tampering with physical evidence, a class E felony, aggravated unlicensed operation 3rd degree and insufficient turn signal, following a traffic stop on Swan street in the City of Batavia for traffic offenses on April 24, 2022.

Following an investigation, deputies located narcotic drugs with the assistance of K-9 Rayzor.

Gause was allegedly in possession of narcotic drugs with intent to sell them.

It is also alleged that Gause attempted to conceal evidence to prevent it from being located after he was in custody.

Gause was arraigned in Batavia City Court on April 25, 2022 and held without bail

He is scheduled to appear in Batavia City Court on May 10, 2022, at 3:00p.m.

Ethelwoldo Galindez, 54, of Buffalo, NY, and William A. Lewis, 36, of Sloan, NY, are each charged with petit larceny and conspiracy 6th after allegedly taking items from Dick’s Sporting Goods on Veteran’s Memorial drive in the Town of Batavia on April 30, 2022.

Galindez is additionally charged with operating a motor vehicle as an unlicensed driver.

Both subjects were released on appearance tickets and will appear in the Town of Batavia Court on May 12, 2022, at 1:00p.m.

Jonah H. Schnettler, 23, of North Chili, NY, is charged with DWI and driving with a BAC of .08% or more, following an investigation into a suspicious vehicle on Townline road in Bergen on May 1, 2022 at 4:29a.m.

Schnettler allegedly operated his vehicle in an intoxicated condition. He was released on appearance tickets and is scheduled to appear in Bergen Town Court on May 11, 2022 at 5:00p.m.

Jolene Y. Stevens, 33, of Batavia, NY, is charged with trespass after allegedly trespassing at a local business on Park road on April 30, 2022.

Stevens was released on appearance tickets and will appear in Town of Batavia Court on May 17, 2022, at 1:00p.m.
