A Shirley, NY couple were arrested following a traffic stop on Route 19 in the Town of Warsaw on July 21, 2022.
Wyoming County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the Warsaw Wal-Mart Store after the Asset Protection Investigator from the store had reported a larceny in progress. The suspects were reported to have fled from the Asset Protection Investigator and were fleeing in a black SUV.
Deputies intercepted a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee on Route 19 in the Town of Warsaw where a traffic stop was then conducted.
Scott M. Campagnola, 56, was found to be the driver of the vehicle, and Diane V. Mankowski, 55, was found to be a passenger.
Following investigation at the scene of the traffic stop, $3,513.20 worth of stolen merchandise was recovered from within the vehicle. A total of 104 stolen gift cards with a value of $3,615.00 were also recovered from within the vehicle.
Additionally, 27 Wal-Mart gift cards were recovered which contained a total value of $1,437.84 stolen United States Currency on them. A total value of $8,566.04 was recovered from within the vehicle. Multiple false and/or altered government identification cards were also seized from Campagnola’s possession. Campagnola was further found to have been banned from all Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. due to previous larcenies.
Six ledgers were located within the vehicle which detailed a nationwide fraud scheme being conducted by Campagnola and Mankowski. Wal-Mart Stores from as far west as California and Oregon, and as far east as Florida and Maine, were documented in the ledgers as having been affected by the couple’s fraud scheme.
Following scene processing, the vehicle was seized and held at the Wyoming County Impound, and both suspects were arrested.
Campagnola, a four-time convicted felon with criminal histories in five difference states, was charged with burglary in the third degree, a class D felony, criminal possession of stolen property in the third degree, a class D felony, possession of a forged instrument in the second degree, a class D felony, (2 counts), and petit larceny.
Due to having two or more felony convictions, Campagnola was committed to the Wyoming County Jail without bail after being arraigned in Warsaw Town Court. Campagnola is scheduled to return to Warsaw Town Court on August 8, 2022 for further court proceedings.
Mankowski, a one-time convicted felon, was charged with one count of criminal possession of stolen property in the fifth degree, and she was issued an appearance ticket to answer the charge on August 8, 2022 in Warsaw Town Court.

An 18 year old female driver was arrested following a traffic stop on Route 436 in the Town of Genesee Falls on July 24, 2022.
The female driver was stopped for speeding at a rate of 62MPH in a 35MPH speed zone, and during the traffic stop the female was found to allegedly be in possession of an estimated 0.66 grams of methamphetamine and several methamphetamine smoking pipes.
The female was arrested, and her vehicle was towed from the scene. She was transported to the
Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office and issued an appearance ticket for criminal possession of a controlled
substance in the seventh degree and speeding in a zone.
The 18-year-old was released and will appear in Genesee Falls Town Court on August 10, 2022.

Jacob Faryna, 20, of Perry, NY was arrested on July 21, 2022 following a traffic stop at Rt. 39 at Camp road in Perry.
Faryna was observed by a Sheriff’s deputy doing burnouts.
Faryna’s vehicle was observed swerving in both lanes of traffic and onto the shoulder of the road.
Faryna is charged with reckless driving and was issued an appearance ticket.
Faryna is scheduled to appear in Perry Court August 23, 2022.

Jackie M. Shade, 32, of LeRoy, NY was arrested following a traffic complaint on Wyoming Road in the Town of Covington on july 23, 2022.
Shade was allegedly the operator of a vehicle called in for erratic operation, and when stopped by Sheriff’s Deputies Shade was found to have an active suspension for failure to answer a summons.
Shade was issued an appearance ticket for aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree and is scheduled to answer the charge in the Town of Covington Court on August 1, 2022.
