NYS Police Report/Warsaw/August 23, 2022

On August 15, 2022, Troopers out of SP Warsaw with the assistance of New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision arrested George A. Hall., 30, of Rochester, NY, for Promoting Prison Contraband 2nd.

Troopers arrested Hall for allegedly having marijuana on his person while inside the Attica Correctional Facility.  Hall was transported to SP Warsaw for processing and released on appearance tickets returnable to Attica town court at a later date.

On August 12, 2022, Troopers out of SP Warsaw with the assistance of New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision arrested Angel D. Lawson, 37, of Buffalo, NY, for Promoting Prison Contraband 2nd.

Troopers arrested Lawson for allegedly having marijuana and synthetic cannabinoids on her person while inside the Attica Correctional Facility.  Lawson was transported to SP Warsaw for processing and released on appearance tickets returnable to Attica town court at a later date.

On August 14, 2022, Troopers out of SP Warsaw arrested Janet L. Yu, 35, of New York, NY, for introducing contraband into a prison.

On August 14, 2022, Troopers were dispatched to assist NYSDOCCS at Wyoming Correctional Facility with a subject in custody for allegedly promoting prison contraband. Yu was taken into custody and transported to SP Warsaw for processing.

Yu was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the town of Attica court for September 2022.

On August 18, 2022, Troopers out of SP Warsaw arrested Lisha S. Hamilton-Stevens, 43, of Bronx, NY, for introducing contraband into a prison.

On August 18, 2022, Troopers were dispatched to assist NYSDOCCS at Wyoming Correctional Facility with a subject in custody for allegedly promoting prison contraband. Hamilton-Stevens was taken into custody and transported to SP Warsaw for processing.

Hamilton-Stevens was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the town of Attica court for September 2022.

On August 18, 2022, Troopers out of SP Warsaw arrested Sirkhristian E. Malone, 26, of Ithaca, NY, for introducing contraband into a prison, forgery 2nd , a class D-felony, offering a false instrument 1st, a class E felony, and criminal impersonation.

On August 18, 2022, Troopers were dispatched to assist NYSDOCCS at Wyoming Correctional Facility with a subject in custody for allegedly promoting prison contraband. Malone was taken into custody and transported to SP Warsaw for processing. During processing it was determined that Malone had allegedly used false identification and signed official documents with another name. Malone was arraigned in the town of Attica court for charges and released.

Malone is to return to the town of Attica court in September 2022.

On August 16, 2022, Troopers out of SP Warsaw arrested Zachary J. Glaus, 33, of Sheldon, NY, for driving while intoxicated, as a class E-felony, previous conviction within 10 years.

On August 16, 2022, Troopers out of SP Warsaw were dispatched to motorcycle accident on Rt. 20A in the town of Sheldon. Glaus was located underneath the motorcycle. Glaus was not injured. Glaus was placed under arrest after failing field sobriety tests and transported to SP Warsaw for processing. Glaus refused to give a breath sample.

Glaus was issued traffic tickets returnable to the town of Sheldon court for October 2022.

On August 16, 2022, Troopers out of SP Warsaw arrested Ernest H. Morris Jr., 75, of Wyoming, NY, for driving while intoxicated, driving while impaired by drugs and failing to exercise due care to avoid colliding with emergency vehicles.

On August 16, 2022, Troopers out of SP Warsaw were dispatched to a personal injury accident on Saltvale road in the town of Warsaw involving an on-duty Wyoming County Deputy. Morris failed to move over for the deputy’s vehicle with emergency lights activated.

Morris was taken to WCCH for evaluation. He was arrested for driving while the ability impaired by drugs and alcohol and submitted to a blood test.

Morris was issued traffic tickets returnable to the town of Warsaw court for September 2022.
