WYOMING COUNTY/The Gainesville Fire Department dedicates new engine to a life member followed by an in service wet down ceremony

In service wet down ceremony for new Gainesville Engine 2 which is the first new engine for the department in almost 30 years. It replaces a 1995 Pierce single cab. Approximate cost was just shy of $300,000.

Gainesville Fire Chief Tyler Horton and his father, Mike Horton, 2nd Assist. Chief/Deputy Fire Coordinator Wyoming County, were instrumental in getting the new truck dedicated in Donnie Meyers name.

Lifelong member of the Gainesville Fire Department Donnie Meyer passed away in 2007.
