On December 2, 2022, Troopers out of SP Albion arrested Stephen R. Smith, 48, of Ridgeway, NY, charging him with aggravated DWI and other vehicle and traffic infractions.
On December 2, 2022, Smith was stopped on Route 31 in the town of Ridgeway for traffic infractions. While interviewing Smith, an odor of alcoholic beverage was allegedly present. Smith was placed under arrest after failing multiple field sobriety tests and transported to SP Albion, where a chemical breath test revealed a 0.20% BAC.
Smith was issued traffic tickets returnable to the town of Ridgeway court, where he is due to appear at a later date.

On December 3, 2022, SP Batavia Troopers arrested Shawna L. Lamont, 33, of Perry, NY, charging her with petit larceny.
On December 3, 2022, Troopers were dispatched to the Dollar General on Big Tree Road in the town of Pavilion for a larceny complaint. Troopers worked with the store employee, and it was determined that Lamont allegedly stole merchandise valued at $19.45, passing all points of purchase without paying.
Lamont was arrested and released on an appearance ticket which is returnable to the town of Pavilion Court for a later date in December 2022.
