GENESEE COUNTY/Man awaiting sentencing in double murders in Alexander, indicted on new felony charges

A Genesee County Grand Jury has indicted Raul S. Cruz, 18, of Warsaw, NY, accusing him of two counts of promoting prison contraband first degree, a class D felony, and promoting prison contraband second degree, a class A misdemeanor, on October 14, 2022 at the Genesee County Jail.

Cruz is accused of knowingly and unlawfully making, obtaining or possessing dangerous contraband, two shanks, while confined at the Genesee County Jail. He also knowingly and unlawfully made, obtained or possessed other contraband, a long plastic housing for a “Bic” type pen

Both Cruz and Prince N.K. Wilson, 23, of Albion, NY were each charged in the double homicide murder deaths of Elibander “Ivan” Morales and Marcelino Gomez Hernandez at 10216 Alexander Road, Alexander, NY on March 11, 2022. Cruz accepted a plea deal in October 2022 and will be sentenced in January.

Brandi L. Klauck has been indicted and is accused of aggravated unlicensed operation first degree, a class E felony, and driving while intoxicated as a misdemeanor on July 31, 2022, while operating a 2001 Toyota on Rt. 237 in Stafford, NY, holding a conditional license. Klauck was allegedly under the influence of alcohol or a drug.

Klauck was previously convicted of DWAI/alcohol on October 5, 2021 in the Town of Wheatfield in Niagara County. The conviction forms the basis for the issuance of a conditional license referred to in count 1 of the current indictment.
