A Genesee County Grand Jury has indicted Shane M. Vanname, accusing him of the crime of rape in the first degree, a class B violent felony, after Vanname allegedly engaged in sexual intercourse with another person by forcible compulsion on December 10, 2022 in the town of LeRoy.
In count two of the indictment, Vanname is accused of the crime of sexual abuse in the first degree, a class D violent felony, allegedly subjecting another person to sexual contact by forcible compulsion on the same above date and location.
In count three, Vanname is further accused rape in the third degree, a class E felony, after allegedly engaging in sexual intercourse with another person without such person’s consent where such lack of consent was by reason of some other factor other than incapacity to consent, on December 10, 2022 in the town of LeRoy
