Fix and Johnston received the Governor’s Medal of Public Service for working 17 hours straight during the the Blizzard of 2022, rescuing people who were stranded in their vehicles on the road. The pair used the Sno Packer’s Groomer to pave the way for a convoy of rescuers to assist all those who were stranded in their vehicles on and off the road.(With Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz, Buffalo, NY Mayor Byron Brown and NYS Governor Kathy Hochul)
