WYOMING COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Castile man arrested after stolen vehicle pursuit

A Castile, NY man was arrested on February 1, 2023, on Rt. 39 in the Town of Castile following a
vehicle pursuit that started in Livingston County with the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office.
Clinton R. Browne, 48, was taken into custody on a Wyoming County Family Court and
Wyoming County Superior Court warrant following the pursuit.

Browne is also charged with grand larceny 3rd degree as the vehicle he was operating had been reported stolen.
On February 2, 2023, Browne was arraigned on the warrants and was committed to the Wyoming
County Jail on $5000 bail.
On February 3, 2023, Browne was arraigned before Wyoming County Judge Mohun on the grand larceny 3rd degree charge and was jailed without bail. Browne is scheduled to appear in the Town of Castile Court on the grand larceny 3rd charge at a later date.
Deputy Jordan Mcginnis with members of the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office and Perry Police Department assisted with the investigation and arrest.

Lucille Nelson, 69, of Warsaw, NY, was arrested following a complaint at a local business in the
Village of Warsaw on February 2, 2023.
Law Enforcement was contacted after Nelson had left a local gas station with her wallet on top of her car. Deputies met with Nelson in an attempt to locate her wallet and found that Nelson had two revocations, both related to a DWAI Drug arrest and conviction. Deputies say Nelson was not allowed to operate a vehicle.
Nelson was assisted with paperwork needed for her lost property and was charged with
aggravated unlicensed operation 2nd degree. Nelson was issued an appearance ticket
returnable to the Village of Warsaw Court on 2/13/23

Jesse J. Zientek, 28, of Java, NY, was arrested following a traffic stop on Chaffee Road in the Town of
Java on February 5, 2023. Zientek was observed and stopped for allegedly operating a vehicle while having a suspended license.

He is charged with aggravated unlicensed operation 3rd degree and was issued an
appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Java Court on 2/15/23.

The vehicle was released to a valid operator.

Daniel A. Ranieri, 71, of Hilton, NY, was charged following a traffic stop on West Main Street in the
Village of Arcade on February 5, 2023.

Ranieri was stopped for an inspection violation and following a roadside investigation, it was found that the sticker displayed should not have been on the vehicle.
Ranieri is charged with uninspected motor vehicle and displaying a forged inspection certificate. He was released with appearance tickets returnable to Village of Arcade Court on 2/16/23.

  1. There is too much lawlessness instead of education. Our hometown has neighbor against neighbor, because laws are broken, and politics rule, to follow laws. Why should good hardworking people care? Two men bullied my husband and left him for dead. Law enforcement does nothing because of the political connections of the men. That is the world we live in. Our family does not deserve this!

  2. The biggest problem is the NO BAIL. Why are our great police risking their lives daily when criminals are BOOKED AND RELEASED WITH INSTRUCTIONS to return at court date. Most likely they will commit another crime and not show up. If you do a crime, do the time!.
