GENESEE COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Women who took cover at a city residence while fleeing police, face more charges in the Town of Batavia

Brittany L. Hollaert, 26, of Rochester, NY, is charged with petit larceny, unlawful fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle, aggravated unlicensed operation 3rd degree, unsafe passing on the left, failure to obey a police officer, speed not reasonable and prudent and improper turn at an intersection after an incident at a store on Veteran’s Memorial Drive on February 3, 2023 at 1:22p.m.

Also charged is Breanna E. Brummond, 31, of Rochester, NY. Brummond is charged with petit larceny in the same above incident. Both subjects were scheduled to appear in Batavia Town Court on February 9, 2023 at 1:00p.m. for arraignment.

On Monday, January 23, 2023, at 6:36 PM, the Genesee County Emergency Communication Center received the report of a larceny that had just occurred at a store on Veteran’s Memorial Drive. The dispatch center received information that the suspect, during the course of the larceny, had allegedly displayed a knife to a store employee.

Genesee County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the area, however, were unable to locate the suspect as he fled from the scene. No one was injured during the incident.

A follow up investigation identified Jason R. Anderson, 41, of Batavia, NY, as the alleged suspect. Anderson was taken into custody without incident on January 30, 2023 by Sheriff’s Investigators and was transported to the Genesee County Jail for holding.

Anderson is charged with robbery 1st degree, a class B felony, criminal possession of a weapon 3rd degree/previous conviction, a class D felony, two counts of petit larceny and criminal mischief 4th degree.

Anderson was arraigned by Alabama Town Court Judge J. Tauscher in the Genesee County Centralized
Arraignment Part (CAP) Court at the Genesee County Jail. He was remanded to the Genesee County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond.

Anderson was additionally charged during this arraignment with petit larceny and criminal mischief 4th degree for an incident that took place on January 3, 2023 at the same location. It is alleged that Anderson cut a chain lock that was securing an electric bicycle while it had been parked outside of the business and stole the bicycle.

The investigations were conducted by members of the Genesee County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigation Division and Road Patrol Division.
