GENESEE COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Alexander woman charged after almost striking deputy during a traffic stop

Tasha L. Horton, 41, of Alexander, NY, is charged with DWI/previous conviction within 10 years, driving with a BAC of .08% or more/previous conviction within 10 years, failing to exercise due care to avoid colliding with an emergency vehicle, moving from a lane unsafely and drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle on a highway, after almost striking a deputy during a traffic stop on Clinton street road in Bergen on February 12, 2023 at 1:50p.m.

Horton was issued uniform traffic tickets for all charges and released.

Horton is to appear in Bergen Town Court on April 5, 2023 at 5:00p.m.

Kevin L. Richardson, 49, of Perry, NY, is charged with falsifying business records 1st degree and attempted criminal purchase or disposal of a weapon after allegedly falsifying a firearms transaction form and then attempted to purchase a firearm when he was ineligible to possess a firearm at the time of the transaction.

The incident occurred on Veteran’s Memorial Drive at a retail store in Batavia on December 23, 2022. The Sheriff’s Office was made aware of the falsifying business records complaint on January 17, 2023

Richardson was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in the Town of Batavia Court on March 2, 2023 at 1:00p.m.

Megan J. Courtney, 26, of Batavia, NY, is charged with two counts of grand larceny 4th degree/property greater than $1,000/credit or debit card, after allegedly stealing debit card information and later utilizing the information to make purchases of over $1,800 worth of merchandise.

Courtney was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Batavia Court on February 28, 2023 at 9:00a.m.
