Jason Buchheit, 30, of Eagle, NY, was arrested for allegedly driving while intoxicated in the Town of Java on February 17, 2023.
The Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office received a complaint about a vehicle driving erratically on
Route 78. It was reported that the vehicle had driven off the road and then drove back onto
the road and was then possibly driving with a flat tire. Other reports came in and it was reported
that the vehicle was driving in the wrong lane and causing oncoming traffic to move off the
road to avoid collision.
Buchheit’s vehicle was located, and he was subsequently arrested for driving while intoxicated. He was transported to the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office and submitted to a breath test. The breath test showed that Buchheit had a blood alcohol content above .18% BAC.
He is charged with DWI, aggravated DWI- driving with over .18% BAC, and reckless
driving. Buchheit was issued an appearance ticket in accordance with New York State bail
reform laws and is to answer his charges at a later date.
