The Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office responded to Route 39 in Eagle, for a motorcycle accident
reported with injury on April 14, 2023. While deputies were responding, Bliss Ambulance personnel arrived on location and advised that the driver had fled on foot.
Upon deputies’ arrival, the driver, identified as Chase Cartwright, 25 of Bliss, NY, was quickly taken into custody.
Cartwright was subsequently charged with moving from a lane unsafely, operating without motorcycle endorsement, driving while ability impaired by drugs, and driving while ability impaired by combination drugs and/or alcohol.
Cartwright was issued an appearance ticket to the Eagle Court on a later date.
