BATAVIA POLICE BLOTTER/May 16, 2023

Michael E. Loveless, 59, of Imperial Drive, Webster, NY, is charged with grand larceny 4th degree and unauthorized use of a vehicle 3rd degree. On 5/10/23, Officer Girvin arrested Loveless on the above charges.  It is alleged that Loveless entered and drove away with a vehicle that was parked at a local gas station while the owner was inside the store.  The vehicle was tracked using its GPS system and located in Lockport with Loveless still occupying the vehicle.  Loveless was taken into custody by Lockport Police and turned over to Batavia Police.  Loveless was arraigned in Batavia City Court by Judge Rogers and held until his re-appearance on 5/23/23 at 1:00pm. 

Josia G. J. Culver,18, of Tracy Avenue, Batavia, NY, is charged with criminal mischief 3rd degree. On 5/05/23, Officer Freeman arrested Culveron the charge of criminal mischief 3rd degree.  It is alleged that Culver damaged an ATM screen on Bank Street with a rock.  Culver was arraigned in Centralized Arraignment Part Court and held without bail to appear in Batavia City Court at a later date.

Alisha A. Soule, 26, of Rt. 237, Stafford, NY, is charged with criminal contempt 2nd degree. On 5/04/23, Officer Freeman arrested Soule on the charged of criminal contempt 2nd after she turned herself in at Batavia Police Headquarters.  It is alleged that Soule made contact with an individual through a third party in violation of an order of protection.  Soule was released on an appearance ticket to appear in Batavia City Court on 5/24/23 at 3:00 pm. 

Ashley Davis, 34, of Walden Creek Drive, Batavia, NY is charged with harassment 2nd degree. On 5/08/23, Officer Rissinger arrested Davis for harassment 2nd degree.  It is alleged that while in custody on another matter, Davis kicked a police officer.  Davis was issued an appearance ticket to appear in Batavia City Court on 5/30/23 at 1:00 pm.

Corey A. Brown, 37, of Ellicott Street, Batavia, NY, is charged with harassment 2nd degree. On 5/10/23, Officer Defelice arrested Brown for harassment 2nd degree.  It is alleged that Brown struck another person in the face at a residence on Ellicott Street.  Brown was arraigned in Batavia City Court and released on his own recognizance to re-appear in Batavia City Court on 5/16/23 at 1:00 pm. 

William H. Smith Jr., 45, of Bank Street, Batavia, NY was arrested on a Batavia City Court bench warrant. Smith was originally arrested for DWI and other charges on 2/07/21 and released with traffic tickets.  Smith failed to appear and was arrested on a warrant on 11/14/21 where he was ordered released with an appearance ticket.  Smith failed to appear and another warrant was issued whereupon he was arrested by Officer Defelice on 5/10/23.  Smith was arraigned in Batavia City Court and released under supervision to re-appear in Batavia City Court on 5/30/23 at 1:00 pm.

Krista S. Kiblin, 32, of Mason Avenue, Rochester, NY, was arrested on a Batavia City Court bench warrant. Kiblin was originally arrested on 1/27/23 for petit larceny after she allegedly stole merchandise from a business on East Main Street.  Kiblin was issued an appearance ticket.  Kiblin failed to appear in court and a bench warrant was issued.  Kiblin was arrested on the warrant on 5/03/23 by Officer Messmer.  Kiblin was arraigned in Centralized Arraignment Part Court.  Status unknown.

Jessica L. Holtz, 39, of Austin Street, Rochester, NY was arrested on two Batavia City Court bench warrants. The first bench warrant stems from a petit larceny charge at a local convenience store on 11/18/2021.  Holtz was originally arrested on 11/27/2021 where she was issued an appearance ticket.  Holtz was then arrested on a bench warrant for failing to appear on 2/02/2022 where she was arraigned in Batavia City Court and released.  Holtz was then arrested on another bench warrant for failing to appear on 5/1/2022 where she was arraigned in Batavia City Court and released.  Holtz was then arrested on 1/29/2023 for failing to appear and held for Centralized Arraignment Part Court, status unknown.  Holtz was arrested on 3/11/23 on a bench warrant for failing to appear and held for Centralized Arraignment Part Court, status unknown. Finally, Holtz was arrested on 5/02/23 by Officer Crossett and arraigned in Batavia City Court.  Holtz is ordered to pay $0.79 restitution and sentenced to two months incarceration.
