Batavia High School held their annual Collegiate Signing Ceremony this week. Ten student athletes from the Class of 2023 officially signed to various collegiate athletic programs.

Julia Petry will be joining Daemen University’s track and field program.
Petry was a multi-sport athlete at BHS, playing soccer, football, basketball, indoor track, lacrosse, and outdoor track teams.
Julia plans to study Physical Therapy at Daemen.

Shawn Kimball will be joining the Genesee Community College baseball program.
Kimball was a standout member of our BHS baseball team.
He plans to pursue General Studies at GCC.

Aidan Anderson will be joining the West Point U.S. Military Academy’s sprint football program.
Anderson was a multi-sport athlete at BHS, playing baseball, football, and indoor/outdoor track teams.
He plans to study Kinesiology at West Point.

Nathan Canale will be joining the St. John Fisher University cross country and track program.
Canale was a standout athlete on BHS’s cross country, indoor, and outdoor track teams.
He plans to study Sports Management at St. John Fisher.

Cody Harloff will be signing with the SUNY Brockport cross country, indoor, and outdoor track and field program.
Harloff was a standout athlete at BHS while on the cross country, indoor, and outdoor track and field teams.

Casey Tatarka will be joining SUNY Oswego’s tennis program.
Tatarka was a standout member of the BHS tennis team.
She plans to study Adolescent Education with a certification in English at Oswego.

Noah Pickard will be joining SUNY Oneonta’s cross country and track and field program.
Pickard was a dedicated member of the BHS cross country and track and field teams.
He plans to study Social Studies and Adolescent Education at Oneonta.

Abby Moore will be joining SUNY Geneseo’s track and field program.
Moore was a multi-sport athlete at BHS, playing on the cross country, soccer, indoor, and outdoor track and field teams.
She plans to study Business at Geneseo.

Jakalya Rivera is joining the University of Buffalo’s competitive cheer program.
Rivera was a multi-sport athlete at BHS, playing on the fall and winter competitive cheerleading, softball, soccer, and flag football teams.
She plans to study Criminology at UB.

Garrett Schmidt will be joining the Grove City College football program.
Schmidt was a multi-sport athlete at BHS, playing on the football, wrestling, baseball, and golf teams.
He plans to study Business Administration at Grove City College.
