BATAVIA POLICE BLOTTER/July 10, 2023

On 7/4/2023, Jocolby S. Wallace, 34, of Rochester, NY, was arrested for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs. Wallace was arrested after an investigation into a traffic stop, on 2/14/2023, where he was allegedly found to be operating a motor vehicle, while impaired by drugs. He was also charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 3rd Degree, Smoking Cannabis while Operating a Motor Vehicle on a Highway and Obstructed View. Wallace was arraigned in CAP Court and released under the supervision of Genesee Justice. The case was handled by Officer Rissinger.

On 7/3/2023, Dominic J. Taylor, 20, of Batavia, NY was arrested for Menacing 2nd degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th degree after an investigation into an incident on Grandview Terrace, where he allegedly displayed a knife during an altercation with several other individuals. Taylor was arraigned in CAP Court and is scheduled to appear in Batavia City Court, at a later date. The case was handled by Officer Tucker and Sgt. Cowen.

On 7/1/2023, Tonya M. Weber, 39, of Batavia, NY, was arrested for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree and Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia 2nd degree. Weber was located by Batavia Police and arrested on a bench warrant from the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office. During the arrest, Weber was allegedly found to be in possession of a large quantity of narcotics and drug paraphernalia. She was arraigned in CAP Court and remanded to the custody of the Genesee County Jail, without bail. The case was handled by Officers Davis and Rissinger.

On 6/23/2023, Victor A. Rivera-Cotto, 55, of Batavia, NY, was arrested for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated. The arrest comes after an investigation into a civilian traffic complaint on East Main St. Officers located the vehicle and determined that Rivera-Cotto was allegedly operating the vehicle while allegedly intoxicated by alcohol. Rivera-Cotto was processed and released on appearance tickets. He is due to appear in Batavia City Court on 7/12/2023. The case was handled by Officers Mruczek and Crossett.

On 6/30/2023, Heidi L. Klein, 48, of Batavia, NY was arrested and charged with Petit Larceny. Klein was arrested after an investigation into a larceny complaint from a local business on 6/22/2023. She was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Batavia City Court on 7/11/2023. The case was handled by Officer Girvin.

On 6/23/2023, Adam B. Thomas, 34, of Batavia, NY, was arrested and charged with Criminal Contempt 2nd degree. Thomas was arrested during a traffic stop on North Street. Thomas was allegedly the passenger in a vehicle that was driven by a protected party in an order of protection. Thomas was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Batavia City Court on 7/11/2023. The case was handled by Officers Weglarski and Moscicki.

On 6/29/2023, Mark S. Lucas, 41, of Rochester, NY,was arrested on an arrest warrant, out of Batavia City Court. Lucas was charged, on 4/8/2023 with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd degree, Operating with a Suspended Registration and Operating with an Expired Inspection, after a traffic stop on Main St. in Batavia. Lucas was issued several traffic tickets and released. The warrant was issued on 6/14/2023, after Lucas allegedly failed to appear in court. Lucas was arraigned in CAP Court and released on his own recognizance. The arrest was handled by Officer Quider.

On 6/29/2023, Kimberly L. Blue, 34, of Batavia, NY, was arrested on a bench warrant out of Batavia City Court. Blue was initially arrested on 11/27/2021 after she allegedly left four children, under the age of 10, unsupervised for several hours. The warrant was issued on 6/9/2022, after Blue allegedly failed to appear in court. She was arraigned in CAP Court, and is scheduled to appear in Batavia City Court at a later date. The arrest was handled by Officers Freeman and Quider.

On 6/30/2023, Shelby L. Fryer, 27, of Batavia, NY, was arrested on two warrants out of Batavia City Court. The first is a bench warrant that stems from a traffic stop on East Main St. on 1/22/2023, where Fryer was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 2nd degree. A warrant was issued on 4/5/2023, after she failed to appear in court. She was arrested on that warrant on 4/21/2023. She was arraigned and released. The current warrant was issued on 5/3/2023, after Fryer allegedly failed to appear in court again. The second warrant stems from an incident on 4/21/2023, where Fryer allegedly lied to police about her identity, in order to avoid being arrested on the previous warrant. She was charged with Criminal Impersonation 2nd degree. Fryer was issued an appearance ticket and released. An arrest warrant was issued on 5/3/2023, after she allegedly failed to appear in court. Fryer was arrested on 6/30/2023, when she was located during a traffic stop on Washington Avenue. She was arraigned in CAP Court and remanded to the Genesee County Jail on $500 cash bail, $1,000 bond, and $5,000 partially secured bond.
