On August 13, 2023, Troopers out of SP Warsaw arrested Samuel J. Streit, 22, of Alden, NY, for driving while intoxicated.
Troopers responded to a motor vehicle accident on Schad Road in the town of Bennington. During the interview, Streit was allegedly exhibiting signs of impairment and Troopers determined Streit had allegedly been operating a vehicle while in an impaired condition. Streit failed standardized field sobriety tests.
He was arrested and transported to SP Warsaw, where a chemical breath test revealed a 0.14% BAC. Streit was released with appearance tickets for the town of Bennington Court, where he is due to appear at a later date.
