ORLEANS COUNTY/Sheriff’s Department Warrant Roundup Report

Orleans County Sheriff Christopher M. Bourke announced that during the week of October 16th, 2023, the Orleans County Sheriff’s Office executed a number of arrests during a Sheriff’s Warrant Round-Up event.

Deputies worked to locate and make arrests of defendants failing to make court appearances, or defendants that have not yet been arrested on charges they are accused of.

Over 5-day period, deputies made 9 arrests.

Arrest list as follows:

  1. Erika M. Cortes (48) of Holley, NY, arrested on a Bench Warrant issued by the Town of Murray Court.
  2. Duvan A. Calderon (25) of Albion, NY, arrested and charged with burglary 2nd degree, endangering welfare of a child and harassment 2nd degree. Arrest warrant issued by the Town of Carlton Court for an incident that occurred on Sept 13, 2023.
  3. Jordan R. Herring (25) of Holley, NY, arrested on a Bench warrant issued by the Town of Murray Court.
  4. James L. Brown Jr. (40) of Medina, NY, arrested for a Violation of Probation issued by the Town of Albion Court.
  5. Anthony C. Lamar (39) of Albion, NY, arrested for a Violation of Probation issued by the Town of Albion Court.
  6. Kayla A. Spry (29) of Batavia, NY, arrested for a Failure to Appear. Arrest warrant issued by the Town of Carlton Court.
  7. Scott L. Gaylord (62) of Albion, NY, arrested for a Failure to Appear. Arrest warrant issued by the Town of Carlton Court.
  8. Heather A. McCollum (32) of Kendall, NY, arrested on a Bench Warrant issued by the Town of Albion Court.
  9. Kayla J. Pagano (19) of Irondequoit, NY, arrested for Criminal Mischief 4th degree. Arrest warrant issued by the Town of Murray Court for an incident that occurred September 9th, 2023.

All defendants were held pending arraignment in CAP Court at the Orleans County Jail. Other defendants not listed have been located and are currently being held by other agencies pending extradition for court appearances.

Sheriff Bourke would like to commend the deputies and investigator involved with this effort. We will be continuing our efforts.

Additional arrests during the week include:

Gabriel P. Reynolds (28) of Albion, arrested for allegedly shoplifting from the Town of Gaines Crosby’s and then attempting to evade deputies. He is charged with Petit Larceny in the Town of Gaines, and Criminal Mischief to Property in the Town of Albion. He was issued appearance tickets to appear in court at a later date.


James J. Welker (45) of Kendall, NY, was arrested and charged with Assault 2nd degree, Menacing 2nd degree with a weapon, and Criminal Obstruction of Breathing in the Town of Kendall. He was arraigned at the Orleans County Jail CAP court to appear in court at a later date.
