The Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal motor vehicle accident which
occurred at the intersection of Route 20A at Silver Lake Road in the Town of Perry.
The collision occurred on December 29, 2023, at 5:38p.m., at which time the Wyoming County
911 Center took phone calls of an injury motor vehicle collision. Wyoming County Sheriff’s
Deputies were dispatched to the scene, along with the Wyoming County Crash Management
Team.
Following initial scene reconstruction, it was determined that Carolyn A. Robb, 78, of Perry,
NY, was driving a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica eastbound on Route 20A, when she drove into
the rear end of a stopped 2015 Honda CRV waiting in traffic to make a left-hand turn.
CPR was performed on Robb by passing motorists and first responders, and Robb was transported by
Perry Ambulance to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment. Robb died of her injuries on the
following date while at the hospital.
