WYOMING COUNTY/Perry Police Report/Bergen man charged after an investigation

PERRY, NY- Chief Michael J. Grover reports the arrest of a Bergen resident on charges following an investigation by the Perry Police Department.

On February 7, 2024, the Perry Police Department received a complaint of a possible order of protection violation. It was found through the course of the investigation and interviews with multiple parties as well as the suspect, that 30-year-old Jessie Belford allegedly violated a full stay away order of protection issued by Perry Village Court in January 2024.

Belford voluntarily turned himself in on February 8th to Officer Kramell, where he was charged with Criminal Contempt 2nd degree and Aggravated Family Offense.

Belford was arraigned in Perry Village Court before Judge Kelsey where he was released on pre-trial release. Belford was represented by the Wyoming County Public Defender’s Office at arraignment. Belford is due back in Perry Village Court on February 13, 2024.
