WYOMING COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/February 19, 2024

Following an incident during a vehicle repossession attempt on February 6, 2024, while located at 2591 Rt.
354 in the Town of Bennington, Willis D. Easton III, 39, of Bennington, NY, was arrested and charged with reckless endangerment in the second degree.

It is alleged that Easton had attempted to hit the repossession agent with his vehicle while the agent was attempting to load it onto the tow truck.

Easton was arrested on scene and issued an appearance ticket. He will appear in the Town of Bennington Court on 02/19/2024.

Leone G. Roach, 23, of Rochester, NY, was arrested following an investigation by the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office

The arrest stems from a burglary and larceny at a local business. Roach allegedly entered the closed business and allegedly took a vehicle belonging to the business. Roach then fled the scene in the stolen vehicle and was later arrested in Chautauqua County after committing additional crimes in their county.

Roach was later arrested by the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office and committed to the Wyoming County
Jail. The stolen vehicle was recovered.

Roach is charged with Burglary 3rd degree, Grand Larceny 3rd degree and Petit Larceny. Roach was scheduled to reappear in Warsaw Town Court 02/12/2024.

On February 10, 2024, at approximately 8:40 P.M., a Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office deputy stopped a
vehicle on Route 354 in the Town of Attica, following a welfare check investigation.

After speaking with the operator of the vehicle, Michael Hawkins, 28, of Attica, NY, the deputy recognized alleged signs of impairment from drugs. Hawkins was asked to perform Standardized Field Sobriety Testing which he performed poorly on. Hawkins was then transported to the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office for a Drug Recognition Evaluation.

The Drug Recognition Expert alleges that Hawkins was impaired by drugs and was unsafe to operate a motor vehicle.

Hawkins was arrested and charged with felony Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs- Prior Conviction
within 10 years, DWAI- Combination, Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia in the second degree, and
other VTL infractions.

Hawkins was arraigned in Attica Town Court and released on his own recognizes. He is to appear in Attica Town Court on March 11, 2024.

On February 8, 2024, Joseph Rosowski, 39, of Pavilion, NY, was arrested and charged with Criminal Contempt in the second degree, following an investigation.

It is alleged that on February 7, 2024, Rosowski had contact with a protected party of a stay away order of protection while at Tops Market in the Town of Warsaw.

Rosowski was released on appearance tickets and was scheduled to appear in Warsaw Town Court on February 12, 2024.

On February 5, 2024, at approximately 8:49 PM, a deputy from the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office initiated a traffic stop on Saltvale Road in the town of Middlebury. The operator of the vehicle, Kevin J. Snyder, 32, allegedly exhibited signs of impairment.

Deputies administered standard field sobriety testing roadside. Snyder was arrested and charged with Driving while ability impaired by drugs. He was transported to the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office where he was evaluated by a drug recognition expert, who alleges that Snyder was impaired by drugs .Snyder is charged with operating a motor vehicle impaired by drugs, combined influence of drugs and, operating a motor vehicle without an inspection certificate.

Snyder was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Middlebury Court at a later date.

Following a traffic stop for an inspection violation on Route 354 in the Town of
Bennington, Brandon M. Becker, 31 of Avon NY, was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed
operation in the third degree.

Becker showed two active suspensions on his New York driver’s license. Becker was processed roadside and given an appearance ticket on the charges. He is due back in the Town of Bennington Court at a later date.
