GENESEE COUNTY/ 4-H launches new half-day Summer Camp for youth ages 8-11

Press release

Batavia, NY — Genesee County 4-H is excited to announce a brand-new summer opportunity for local youth! The 4-H Experience Day Camp will take place August 4–8, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. daily at the Genesee County Fairgrounds Kennedy Building. This weeklong, half-day camp is designed specifically for children ages 8–11 (born between December 1, 2014, and December 1, 2017), and aims to introduce them to the diverse and engaging world of 4-H.

Campers will explore different 4-H program areas each day, including animal science, STEM, nutrition, gardening, crafts, and Family & Consumer Sciences (FCS). Through fun, hands-on activities, participants will gain new skills, spark their interests, and discover all the exciting possibilities that 4-H has to offer.

The registration fee for the camp is $95 per child and is due at the time of sign-up. Families can register in person or online, though some forms with original signatures will still be required.
