Chief Michael J. Grover reports the arrest of two Perry residents. Erin E. Brooks, 32, and Drew E. Lord, 30, were arrested following an investigation in which two five-year-old children ingested marijuana-infused gummies. The children were under the care of Brooks and Lord at the time.
One of the children remains in serious condition at Strong Memorial Hospital, while the other was released after receiving medical attention.
Both Brooks and Lord have been charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and one count of reckless endangerment. Both individuals were arraigned before honorable Judge Josh Wolcott. Lord was turned over to the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office due to three outstanding warrants, while Brooks was released on her own recognizance. Both are scheduled to appear in court on August 12th at 1:00PM. Due to the nature of the incident, both suspects were issued orders of protection as the safety and well-being of the children involved remain a top priority.

Perry, NY – Chief Michael J. Grover reports the arrest of a Perry Resident following an order of protection violation after a visit by Child Protective Services.
On 07/21/2025, Haylee L. Tucker, 23, of Perry, NY, was arrested and charged with Criminal Contempt 2nd degree after disobeying an order of protection issued by the Perry Village Court. Officers were advised that Tucker was hiding in an upstairs bedroom during a Child Protective Services visit. Upon the arrival of the police, Tucker turned herself in.
Tucker was arraigned in Perry Village Court and released with a return court date of 08/12/2025 at 3:00PM.
