PAVILION, NY — New York State Senator George Borrello, Ranking Member of the Senate Agriculture Committee, is partnering with the SUNY Brockport Small Business Development Center (SBDC) to host an Agriculture Business Roundtable on Thursday, August 7th, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at BW’s Restaurant, 11070 Perry Road, Pavilion, NY. The event is free and open to those in the agriculture community as well as interested members of the public.
“This roundtable is a chance to hear directly from those who are driving our state’s agricultural economy and to ensure they are aware of the free tools and services available to help them succeed,” said Senator Borrello. “Whether you’re launching a new farm or building on generations of family tradition, the support is out there. This event will help you access it.”
“Agriculture has always been the backbone of our region’s economy, and the SBDC is proud to play a role in strengthening it for the future,” said Lindsay Ward, Regional Director of the SUNY Brockport SBDC. “This roundtable isn’t just about sharing information, it’s about building relationships, answering real-world questions, and helping ag entrepreneurs navigate the challenges and opportunities of today’s marketplace.”
Attendees will learn how New York is supporting its agriculture sector, hear from local leaders about regional priorities and opportunities, and connect with fellow members of the ag community. The SBDC will also present its no-cost services designed to help ag-based businesses start, grow, and thrive.
In addition to Senator Borrello and SBDC Regional Director Lindsay Ward, speakers will include Assemblyman Stephen Hawley and Genesee County Legislature Chair Rochelle Stein, both of whom will offer local insights on agriculture and rural economic development.
