On September 14, 2025, Courtney L. Hewitt, 44, of Oakfield, NY, was arrested and charged with falsely reporting a crime 3rd degree, resisting arrest and obstructing governmental administration 2nd degree.
Hewitt allegedly called 911 and reported that a person was shot in order to gain an emergency response from deputies and troopers. Once law enforcement arrived, and Hewitt was told she was not able to leave the residence on Webber Avenue, she attempted to run from law enforcement.
She was taken into custody and transported to the Genesee County Jail for processing and then released on an appearance ticket. Hewitt is scheduled to appear in Oakfield Town Court on October 6th, 2025, at 5:00p.m.

On September 9th, 2025, Alex S. Dumbleton, 32, of Batavia, NY, was charged with falsifying business records 1st degree following multiple larceny investigations.
On August 26, 2025, Dumbleton allegedly falsified business records after pawning solen merchandise at Pawn King. Dumbleton allegedly stole merchandise from Dick’s Sporting Goods and Walmart, passing all points of sale, failing to render payment.
Dumbleton was held at the Genesee County Jail pending a CAP Court arraignment on September 9th, 2025 at 7:00 p.m.

Jarrod K. Fotiathis, 30, of Batavia, NY, is charged with criminal obstruction of breathing and harassment 2nd degree after a domestic dispute in the Village of Bergen on September 9, 2025 at 12:07a.m.
After an investigation, deputies say Fotiathis allegedly placed his hands around the neck of the victim and punched her in the face.
He was arrested and transported to the Genesee County Jail for processing and held for CAP Court.

On September 4th, 2025, Charles P. Stevens, 37, of Batavia, NY, is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance 3rd degree/a narcotic drug with intent to sell, a class B felony and use of a license belonging to another person.
Stevens was allegedly in possession of a 5 individually packaged baggies with intent to sell them, when he was detained for using a license that did not belong to him.
Stevens was held at the Genesee County Jail pending a CAP Court arraignment.

On September 9th, 2025, Charles P. Stevens was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and tampering with physical evidence, after allegedly discarding narcotics on the gaming floor at Batavia Downs, after seeing a deputy outside the casino at 8315 Park Road.
Stevens was transported to the Genesee County Jail and was processed and arraigned in Genesee County CAP Court on September 9th, 2025.

Evan M. Gawlik, 50, of Cary, NC, is charged with DWAI/drugs and criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th degree, following an investigation on W. Main Road in Le Roy on September 4th, 2025.
Gawlick was transported to the Genesee County Jail for arrest processing and released on an appearance ticket. He will appear in Town of Batavia Court on October 16, 2025 at 1:00p.m.

Michael C. Anderson Jr., 46 of Elba, NY, is charged with DWI, driving with a BAC of .08% or more and speeding in a 55mph zone, after a traffic stop on Rt. 98 in Elba on Oak Orchard Road on September 7, 2025 at 1:15a.m.
Anderson was issued uniform traffic tickets and will appear in the town of Elba Court on October 8, 2025.

Jill K. Depczynski, 49, of Alden, NY, is charged with DWI/alcohol, driving with a BAC of .08 % or more and operating a motor vehicle without inspection certificate after a traffic stop for a violation on Genesee Street in Darien on September 5th, 2025 at 11:40p.m.
Depczynski was arrested and transported to the Genesee County Jail for processing. She was released with uniform traffic tickets and will appear in Darien Town Court on September 23rd, 2025.

Rodriguez was released on an appearance ticket and will appear in the Town of Batavia Court on September 23rd, 2025 at 3:00p.m.

Lisa R. Richmond, 37, of Batavia, NY, is charged with petit larceny after deputies responded to Walmart, 4133 Veterans Memorial Drive in the Town of Batavia, for a larceny complaint.
Richmond allegedly stole merchandise from the store and passed all points of sale.
Richmond is to appear in the Town of Batavia Court on September 23rd, 2025 at 3:00p.m.

Daniel H. Mooney, 39, of Batavia, NY, is charged with disorderly conduct after a disturbance at Crosby’s in Elba, 64 S. Main Street, on September 14, 2025.
Mooney was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in Elba Town Court on September 24, 2025.
As the alleged victim of the case against Jarrod fotiathis I can definitely say that his charges are bullshit and that never happened.
