Arc GLOW hosted its 21st annual Friends & Family 5K and Fun Walk on Saturday morning on Barrville Road in Elba.
Over 200 people of all ages and skill levels had the opportunity to participate. The event embraced the involvement of the people Arc GLOW serves, aligning with its mission to support individuals with disabilities in partnership with their families and community.
“Our individuals attend, the community attends, our neighbors attend so everyone is integrating,” says Lisa Bors, Vice President of Public Relations.
“This is very important for everyone to be included,” says Sean Graney, 2nd year runner.
“It’s important for people to have somewhere they can go to feel safe and be included with everybody else. It’s a good mission.”
The Friends & Family 5K event raises funds for Arc GLOW programs and services, as well as the Mary Anne Graney Scholarship.

Members of the Graney family participate in this morning’s event, including Charles Graney (right) who will celebrate his 90th birthday next week.
