Press release
Le Roy voters are invited to meet two local candidates running for office this fall.
Nikki Calhoun, candidate for Genesee County Legislature District 5, and Bill Lambert,
candidate for Le Roy Town Council, will host a community Meet the Candidates event on Friday,
October 17, from 5:30- 7 p.m. at Trigon Park.
The casual gathering offers residents a chance to chat with both candidates, ask questions, and
hear firsthand about their priorities for the community. Hot cider and donuts will be served.
“This is a great chance for neighbors to connect, ask questions, and hear directly from the
people running to represent them,” said Calhoun. “We’re excited to continue engaging with
voters and building momentum for Election Day.”
Lambert added, “LeRoy is built on community, and local government should reflect that. We all
want a town that listens, leads with fairness, and looks out for future generations. Meeting
voters face-to-face is what makes that possible.”
Organizers say the event is about more than politics — it’s about participation.
“Local elections matter most because they shape the everyday things that impact our lives —
from roads and budgets to public services,” Calhoun noted. “Your voice is stronger in a local
election, and your vote can truly make the difference.”
