Ronin Dix, a first-place winner at the K-1st grade level in the City Fire- Fire Prevention Coloring Contest, received his ride to school on Thursday morning. Ronin says his ride was a little bumpy but fun.
On Engine 12 this morning was Firefighter Dalton Major, Firefighter Nathan Kinney and Captain Bob Fix.

Ronin is from Byron and attends St. Paul Lutheran School on Washington Avenue in Batavia. Students, teachers and staff were there to greet him upon arrival in Engine 12. Ronin’s dad says the first thing Ronin does each day after school is anything crafty.
“He’s always been excited with firetrucks and stuff like that. Between police officer, firefighter, construction worker, EMS, doesn’t make any difference. He’s very crafty, he does a lot of crafts when he gets home, he works on coloring, cutting sheets of paper up, gluing things back together, taping it, he has lots of fun. That’s what he does when he gets home.”
